Amano Christian School Trust (UK) [ACST(UK] was set up in April 2005 and was registered as a Charity in the UK on 19th October 2006. All 6 Trustees have visited Amano in recent years. The object of the Trust is: The advancement of the Christian religion by providing funds and support as felt necessary by the Trustees for the work of Amano Christian School, Chingola, Zambia. Donations can be made to support students and Zambian staff, either through regular or one off gifts. Details of sponsorship arrangements can be provided. As a UK Charity any donations made by UK tax payers can be enhanced by 28p for each pound donated when the Trust makes a claim under the Gift Aid scheme. This is not possible for UK tax payers who donate through Sunnybrook Christian Trust as that is registered in Zambia and not eligible for Gift Aid. The accounts for 2008 show just over £3,000 was reclaimed in tax in both 2008 and 2009.
